Omega 3 Index Test Now on Sale
What are Omega 3s? They are Essential Fatty Acids that are essential in many cellular and health processes. They have been shown to lower blood pressure, reduce triglycerides, reduce arteriosclerosis, increase brain function (cognitive, memory, executive function, clarity), reduce risk of dementia and Alzheimer’s, reduce risk of heart attack and cardiovascular disease, anti-inflammatory, necessary for cell wall integrity, reduce stroke risk, improve eye health, improve skin, help regulates hormones, help balance mood and ease depression, improve in nervous system health both for adults and infants in utero and more.
You can see why they are called “essential.” What is interesting though is that our bodies do not make them, we have to consume Omega 3s in order to have healthy levels. And pure omega 3s are only found in animal products, mostly fish. Many of us do not eat the amount of fish needed to have healthy levels and it is important to substitute with natural purified supplements. They are also made in vegan form now through Algae luckily.
I consider Omega 3s in the form of Fish oils or Algae Omegas absolutely essential to a daily wellness program and I consider them “Lifetime” supplements.
